Child Safety Standards
Last updated May 7, 2026. These are Betcha’s standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), our in-app reporting tools, and how we cooperate with authorities.
Our commitment
Betcha has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The product is intended for adult friend groups making informal social bets, and we operate under a 13+ minimum age with the expectation that the realistic audience is 18+. Any account or content connected to the abuse or exploitation of a minor will be removed and the responsible account permanently banned.
Standards we hold
CSAM is prohibited. Sexualized depictions of minors — real, drawn, AI-generated, or otherwise — are prohibited. Grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, and any content that normalizes or facilitates child sexual abuse are prohibited. Sharing personal information of a minor for the purpose of targeting, harassing, or harming them is prohibited.
In-app reporting
Any user can report content directly inside the app. On any comment, open the menu and tap “Report” — choose a reason (including “Abuse or hate speech” and “Something else”) and add context. Reports are recorded and reviewed by Betcha staff. Users can also block any other user from the same menu, which immediately hides that user’s content from their view. Reports of suspected CSAE or CSAM should additionally be emailed to team@betcha.social so the team can prioritize triage and law-enforcement reporting.
How we respond
Reports are triaged by Betcha staff. Content that violates these standards is removed, and the responsible account is banned. We preserve relevant evidence as needed to cooperate with investigations. Our target first-response time for safety reports is 24 hours, and we treat reports involving minors as our highest priority.
Reporting to authorities
Betcha complies with applicable child safety laws and reports apparent CSAM to the relevant national authority. In the United States this means reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. In other regions we report to the equivalent national authority or to a member of the INHOPE network where one is available, and we cooperate with valid law-enforcement requests.
Designated point of contact
Betcha’s designated point of contact for child-safety matters under Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy is David Brodsky, Founder & Child Safety Lead at Betcha Social. Questions, escalations, and CSAE/CSAM reports can be sent to david@betcha.social, or to team@betcha.social as a backup channel monitored by the Betcha team.
