Privacy Policy

Last updated April 15, 2026. This policy explains how Betcha collects, uses, and shares information when you use betcha.social and the Betcha product.

Information we collect

To run Betcha we collect: your email address and (if you use Google or Apple sign-in) the basic profile fields those providers return; the profile details you add in-app, including display name and avatar; the content you create, including groups, bet prompts, comments, reactions, and resolutions; your membership in groups and who invited you; device push-notification tokens, if you grant notification permission; crash and error diagnostics; and basic usage and device data such as app version, OS version, and pages viewed.

Voice input stays on your device

If you use the voice-to-bet feature, speech is transcribed on your device by the operating system. The audio recording is not uploaded to Betcha. Only the resulting text — which you review before saving — is sent to our servers when you create the bet.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate you, operate groups and bets, display group activity to the people in your groups, send transactional emails, product updates, and push notifications, diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate product usage. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Service providers we use

Betcha runs on a small set of infrastructure vendors who process data on our behalf: Supabase (authentication, database, and storage), Vercel (application hosting and aggregate traffic analytics), Sentry (crash and error monitoring), Resend (transactional email delivery), and Expo Push — which in turn uses Apple Push Notification service on iOS and Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android — for mobile push delivery. We share only what each vendor needs to perform its function.

How information is shared

Content you create inside a group is visible to the other members of that group. When you share a bet link outside the app, the link may render a public preview that includes the bet prompt and group name. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a business transfer.

Data retention and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the in-app user menu. When you delete your account, your sign-in record and personal profile are removed. Content you created in a shared group context (bet prompts, comments, group names) is retained and reassigned to a placeholder "Deleted user" so remaining group members can still read their own history. We keep the remaining information for as long as it is needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

Your choices

You can edit your profile inside the app, manage notification permissions in your device settings, use the unsubscribe link in any product update email, and delete your account as described above. For anything else, contact us directly.

Children

Betcha is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
